HOW WE INVEST

With over 20 years of investment experience working with some of the most successful individuals on the planet, we have arrived at the harsh realization that humans are not wired for disciplined investing, causing more harm than good by their reactions. Often, those who appear the most knowledgeable, are the worst investors. The dominant determinant of a person’s lifetime investment success is most often not investment performance, but investment behavior.

Our investment approach is easy to communicate, is verifiable, and is eminently defensible.

We don't impose lockouts and impediments to block a client from obtaining their assets. Any client can terminate us at any time and for any reason. Wanderlust has clients around the globe. Every one of them is with us because they choose to be.

Wanderlust Wealth has an enduring belief in the power of capitalism; which has consistently rewarded long-term investors. We work closely with high-net-worth individuals, families and select foundations and endowments to develop wealth and investment management strategies. With a constant focus on risk management, we balance shorter-term concerns with longer-term priorities. We complement our services with robust execution capabilities and attentive client service. Where appropriate, we introduce our clients to the broader network and resources of our partner firms.

Our clients choose to work with us because they have accepted that there is a smarter, academically proven way to invest successfully. As a result, our client’s portfolios are always working for the extra expected gain, as every incremental improvement adds up over time.

Instead of the conventional approach of buying and selling individual securities ('active management'), most people incorrectly believe that indexing ('passive investing') is the only other option. Indexing limits the securities owned and prioritizes low tracking error over higher expected returns. Indexing also forces rebalancing (‘reconstitution’) of drifted positions, which causes extra costs and changed characteristics. Research has shown investments that offer higher expected returns share certain characteristics. These characteristics are sensible, persistent over time, pervasive across markets, and cost-effective to capture.

We look forward to working with you as stewards of your financial journey.
